Stay Fit and Enjoy the Outdoors!

Spring is finally here!

 

And with it, more opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air.

 

If you are new to the area, or have decided now is the time you want to get active, Rockliffe Properties wants to help! Finding a good trail for a walk, run, or bike ride isn't always easy, so we've put together a short list for those who are ready to get outside again.

 

 

 

Bronte Creek Trillium Trail

Entrance off Burloak Dr. Trail length 1km

This is a great start for anyone who wants to be more active, and excellent for families wanting to spend time outdoors together.

Just a 10 minute drive from our Nelson Street buildings, this trail is beautiful in springtime with a wealth of wildflowers and blooming Trilliums. And because it's located inside Bronte Creek Provincial Park, it is open all year round and offers camping, outdoor swimming, a playground, and a small petting zoo.

 

Sixteen Mile Creek Trail

Entrance at Lakeside Park, Navy St. Trail length 8.5km

Nature lovers will enjoy the tall trees all around and beautiful wildflowers. Best for hiking or walking, this trail is appropriate for all skill levels and is animal friendly.

Sixteen Mile Creek Trail is closest to our Reynolds and Allan Street buildings - just under a 5 minute drive away. Parking at Lakeside Park allows you to explore the park, beach, and has washroom facilities.

 

Oakville Waterfront Trail

Multiple Entrances. Trail length 7.6km+

The Waterfront Trail connects 75 communities across Ontario and totals 1600km. The Oakville portion of the trail is an excellent choice for biking, walking, or running with pretty sights and plenty of rest stops.

All of our properties are within a short walk or drive from one of the five entrance points of the trail. However, entrances at the Bronte Beach Park, Waterworks Park, and Gairloch Gardens are closest to our buildings and offer washrooms and parking.

 

Joshua's Creek Trail

Entrance at Maple Grove Arena, Devon Rd. Trail length 6km

Nature lovers will enjoy this trail, with tall trees all around, it feels like a secluded forest. Best for hiking or walking this trail is appropriate for all skill levels and even dogs as long as they are on a leash.

Joshua's Creek Trail is closest to our Reynolds and Allan Street buildings, just under a 10 minute drive. Parking at Maple Grove Arena offers a snack bar for refreshments and a washroom which may come in handy after a long hike.
